Kadai Paneer

This dish mentioned below is slightly modified than the original,only to taste better :)

Ingredients:

Paneer cubes
Capsicum - slit lengthwise
Oil
Onion (1/2 finely chopped)
Garlic pods ( 2) - finely chopped
Tomato puree of 2 tomatoes
Fenugreek leaves ( Kasuri Methi dry also is fine) - a few
Curry leaves - chopped
Green chillies - finely chopped
Red chilly powder
Dhania powder
Garam masala - a pinch
Chole masala - 1/2 teaspoon
Curd - 1 tablespoon (Optional)
Cumin seeds
Asafoetida - a pinch
Turmeric a pinch
Salt to taste

What to do:

1. Heat oil in a wok and fry the paneer cubes for 2 or 3 min
2. Fry Capsicum till its raw smell vanishes
3. Keep the paneer and capsicum fry aside on a tissue
4. In the heated oil add cumin seeds, asafoetida, garam masala, chopped onion, green chillies, curry leaves and garlic
5. Once onion is transparent add the tomato puree and allow it to come to a boil for 10 - 12 min. The puree thickens
6. Add the chilly powder, dhania powder, chole masala, CRUSHED kasuri methi and salt
7. If the dish is spicy because you have used both green chillies and chilly powder, you can add the tablespoon of curd at this STAGE. Its totally OPTIONAL
8. Add the paneer and capsicum fry and let it cook till the mixture becomes and looks like a dry fry

Serve it hot with chapati, puri or Naan
